Skilled Rehabilitation Services

At Lincoln Crawford, we offer full service therapy by licensed professionals. Therapy is provided 7 days a week, to enable a quicker recovery from accident, illness, injury, or planned surgery. Our clinical programs are customized to meet the needs of each individual resident. Our long term goal is to ensure that our residents regain their strength and independence as quickly as possible. Throughout this process, we complement our physical, occupational, and speech therapies with nursing interventions, social service programs, and physician-approved care to assist our residents in reaching their maximum potential.
Restorative Care
The facility's restorative program has had a great success returning patients to the community. The average stay for a resident needing restorative care is approximately two months. In addition, residents who need therapy upon admission typically receive their first treatment within 24 hours.

Physician Services
Lincoln Crawford offers a wide variety of services, at Lincoln Avenue and Victory Parkway in Walnut Hills. The medical director, Syed Moqeeth MD., is affiliated with Trihealth's GEROS Medical Group and has served the home for several years.
Specialized Services
Lincoln Crawford specializes in the treatment of diabetes and has participated in research studies related to this disease. One-third of the facility's population has diabetes, and 80 percent of those residents have complications as a direct result. The nurses use up-to-date technology to monitor the resident's blood sugar, and strive to personalize each resident's diet to match their medical needs. Some of the patients at the facility receive dialysis on a weekly basis.
Dining Services
The Dietary Department at Lincoln Crawford provides a wide variety of ethnic meals that cater to the individual needs of our residents. The diet ordered by your physician can be provided by the Dietary Department regardless of type, texture or consistency. We strive to satisfy all of our residents needs at every meal. If there is something on the menu that does not suit your likes, a substitution will be provided with no questions asked.
Activities

Our caring and compassionate staff members ensure your loved one is well cared for both medically and socially. We place a strong emphasis on activities at Lincoln Crawford and as a result, our Residents are eager to participate. Our daily activities are specifically designed to stimulate memory and maintain current levels of social and spiritual interaction. In addition, many churches in the area provide services several times per week.
Activities include:
Fishing Trips, Arts and Crafts, Cooking Classes, Dances, Concerts, Movies, Senior Expo at Coney Island, Parky's Farm Outings, Cultural Entertainment, Barbecues on the patio, and other activities.
Community Involvement
Lincoln Crawford is also concerned about the health and well-being of the African American community outside its walls. For over a decade, the facility has sponsored a community health fair, incorporating health-related organizations, health screenings and entertainment into a day that focuses primarily on preventative health and the well-being of each individual. An average of 800-1,000 community members participate in this event each year. For many Walnut Hills residents, this event serves as their entry point into complete medial care.
Lincoln Crawford reaches beyond its four walls at least six additional times each year to host our Wednesdays at Lincoln Crawford Program. These bi-monthly events encourage community members to visit Lincoln Crawford and join our Residents for an afternoon of fun activities, education opportunities and food in the midst of a festive atmosphere.
